Electrical Installation: Need of time.

Electrical installation refers to the process of connecting electrical equipment used for the creation, distribution, and utilization of electrical power or energy.  Electrical equipment, however, can be described as any product which is associated with the process of generating, converting, transmitting, distributing and utilizing electricity.
Electrical energy is the soul of technology; these technologies include machines, appliances, transformers, industries, mills, even a mobile phone cannot be used without charging its battery with electricity, once dead.

A person who masters the art of electrical Installation is known as an electrician. Because it is a unique profession, therefore, every electrical task must be performed by a professional or an expert. Following are some of the task that an electrician has knowledge about:

  • Invent simple items and to find the solution when it malfunctions
  • Fixing electrical joints when broken.
  • Construct simple electrical circuit.
  • Working on blueprints designed by an architect
  • Installing wires and creating electrical connections in a building or a house.
  • Installing security devices in banks, such as CCTV cameras, security code machine.
  • Managing the electrical activities.
  •  And while performing all the above-mentioned tasks the electrician makes sure that he is maintaining health and safety in the workplace.

Electricians install electrical wires, they also keep a check on the wiring and its functioning, they install switches, lights, fans, air conditions, circuits and other electrical appliances in the building or the houses. Proper electronics knowledge is required for good electrician to provide and maintain electronically controlled machines. Electricity is also used for climate check and communication, therefore, the importance of electrical installation cannot be denied as it is associated with almost every activity of a human’s life.

The components of the electrical installation services are designing, supplying, installing, testing, commissioning, documenting, and maintaining electronics.

Providing electricity is the responsibility of the state; they usually set up government companies and utility companies to bring electricity to the consumer’s house or building. A consumer’s electricity demands vary according to his or her usage of electricity or the electrical assets. These demands include lightning, air conditioning, heating, and to run other electrical appliances that have made our lives easier such as toasters, sandwich makers, vacuum cleaners etc.

The complete electrical installation services are provided in public as well as private sectors. These services, in the public sector, are funded by the government which they collect from the public through tariff, whereas; in the private sector the consumer pay directly to the electrical service provider.

International electro-technical commission (IEC) was founded in 1906, with the purpose of maintaining the standards of electronic technologies. It secured international co-operation by associating itself with forty countries around the globe. This commission publishes standards, guides, and reports, which are very important for the level of quality understood by the European countries.
According to European Commission (EC), the equipment which is being used in the electrical installation service must be free from all defects, must be brand new, and it must reach the level of EC standards.
